Thank you for considering giving to the Department of Biochemistry. We value each and every contribution, no matter the amount. You can decide how your money is used.
There are many ways in which you can support us:
You can decide to:
Give a Single Gifts
Take a pledge
Regular gifts allow the Department to budget more accurately and to plan its spending.
Leave a bequest, gift in your will
Leaving money in your estate is a wonderful way to contributing to the long-term development of the Department as part of your legacy. For advice about how to give legacies visit the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations (CUDAR) website.
Involve your organisation
You can be an advocate and encourage your organisation to fund research projects, laboratory equipment, studentships, provide student prizes and awards.
Do you know that any donation to our Department can generate an even greater impact?
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer you can opt to claim Gift Aid on your donation, potentially increasing its value by 25% without costing you any extra. That means that for every £1 you give the University can claim an extra 25p. For example, a £1000 donation made under Gift Aid is worth £1250 to Cambridge.
The Gift Aid is subjected to some restrictions. For HMRC’s guidance please see here.
Donors from Europe and North America (Canada and US) can find here tax country-specific indications.
Double your impact applying to the Harding Challenge
If you are a new donor to the Collegiate University, or have not given since July 2020, your gift to support students in your department will be eligible for the Harding Challenge. As such, your gift will unlock, pound for pound, a contribution to a special fund for undergraduate financial support. Your donation will benefit students in greatest need across Cambridge enabling the University to do more for them.
Every pound really does make a difference, so please do consider taking advantage of this opportunity to amplify the impact of your donation.
