10am–10:30: Registration and Tea and Coffee, Hopkins Building 

10:30–45: Welcome from Eric Miska (Head of Department) and unveiling of centenary plaque in Hopkins foyer

10:45–11:45: Hopkins Building lab tours

Walk to Sanger Building 

12–12:45: Keynote Talk: Gregory Winter (Nobel laureate and alumnus), Jean Thomas Lecture Theatre 

12.45–1pm: Group photograph, Sanger Garden 

1–2.30: Lunch, Perham Room and Tea Room 

2.30–4pm: Talks with Q and A, Jean Thomas Lecture Theatre, including: 

Jeanne Salje (Group Leader in Bacterial Cell Biology), ‘Sneaking In: How Bacteria Survive Within Human Cells and Cause Disease’

Ross Waller (Professor of Evolutionary Cell Biology), ‘Endosymbiosis and the Cellular Partnerships that Power the Planet’
