Background and Current Project: After completing an BSc in Biochemistry at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in September 2014 I started my MSc studies in Biochemistry at Leipzig University with the focus on biomedical science. The internship in de la Roche group is part of my studies in Germany. The aim of my internship is to establish an expression system to generate recombinant proteins in bacteria for the structural determination of a complex of a receptor ecto domain with its ligand.
