| First Year (Part IA) |
The Dept of Biochemistry contributes to three Part IA courses:
- In the Medical and Veterinary Science Triposes, Biochemistry is responsible for the delivery of Molecules in Medical Science (MIMS).
- Along with three other Departments in the School of Biological Sciences (SBS), Biochemistry contributes to teaching the Biology of Cells course in the Natural Sciences Tripos (NST). Biology of Cells provides an excellent foundation for numerous biological subjects taken in NST Part IB.
- Biochemistry, along with other Departments in SBS, deliver the Mathematical Biology (MB) course in the NST.
- Biochemistry additionally delivers a number of lectures in the NST Part IA Evolution & Behaviour course.

| Second Year(Part IB) |
The Dept of Biochemistry contributes to three Part IB courses:
- In the NST, Biochemistry delivers a foundation course in Biochemistry – Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB).
- Biochemistry is one of four departments in SBS who contribute to teaching Cell and Developmental Biology (CDB), another Part IB NST course.
Together, these two courses provide a complementary overview of cell biology, where BMB is very molecular in nature, whereas CDB deals mostly with whole cells and organisms.
- Biochemistry, along with a number of other Departments, contributes to a brand new course (2022-23) in Part IB NST – Mathematical and Computational Biology (MCB).

| Third Year (Part II) |
The Part II Biochemistry course is delivered by Biochemistry:
- Part II Biochemistry provides an opportunity for students to specialise in Biochemistry and explore topics in greater depth. The material covered in lectures provides a good insight into a range of biochemical principles and findings.
- The Part II Biochemistry course offers the opportunity to undertake an 8-week laboratory based project, where students choose from an array of dry (e.g. bioinformatics) and wet-lab projects, across a wide range of research areas.

| Fourth Year (Part III) |
The Dept of Biochemistry contributes to two Part III courses:
- Part III Biochemistry allows students to undertake a two-term research project, together with continuing advanced teaching in lectures, seminars and discussion groups. Students taking Part III Biochemistry will graduate with both a BA and Master of Natural Science Degree (MSci). While most students taking Part III Biochemistry have previously taken Part II Biochemistry, other candidates who fulfil certain requirements will be considered.
- Biochemistry also contributes to the Part III Systems Biology course, which provides an integrated approach to the study of biology through experiment and the use of computer models with both predictive and explanatory power.
