Undergraduate Students’ Garden Party 2018

last modified Jun 19, 2018 04:36 PM
Exams are over! It’s the end of the academic year!

On Friday 15 June, the Department held its first (hopefully to become annual) Undergraduate Students’ Garden Party to celebrate the end of the academic year. The party was a huge success with our students, Group Leaders and examiners all indulging in a dinner of chips, ice cream, sweets and popcorn, whilst also making the most of the “networking” opportunity over some fizz and a few beers. Check out our Facebook album to see how the event unfolded!

The Department would like to congratulate all of our undergraduate students on their exceptional exam results this year. Special mention should go to the following students for winning our annual academic prizes:

  • Oscar Wilkins (Part III) – Perham 1st Prize
  • Joseph Curran (Part III) – Perham 2nd Prize
  • Abigail Turner (Part III) – The Alkis Seraphim Prize
  • Eleanor Sheekey (Part II) – Perham 1st Prize
  • Esme Bullock (Part II) – Perham Joint-2nd Prize
  • Stephen Cole (Part II) – Perham Joint-2nd Prize
  • Bethany Bartlett (Part II) – The Alkis Seraphim Prize

We would like to thank Darerca Owen, Helen Mott, Wendy Bundy and Christine Thulborn for organising the event, and Steph Low, Tim Couch, Nick Smith, Roger Biamonti, Ryan Bentley, Dave Plummer and Ian Saunders for all of their help.

To all our leaving students: We wish you the best of luck for your future, and are sure that you will make every success of it! Please stay in touch, and do pop in next time you’re in Cambridge!

To our returning Part II students: Have a lovely summer – you deserve a bit of rest! We’re looking forward to seeing you back here next year for Part III!
