DNA sequencing.

The Department's DNA Sequencing Facility was established in the 1990s by Professor Peter Leadlay, and his Laboratory Manager, John Lester, was seconded to manage it day to day. Since taking on the Facility management in 2015, Shilo Dickens has set the agenda in keeping the Facility responsive to both customers' and colleagues' needs.

As each advance in sequencing occurs, the Facility adopts it and expands its skill set accordingly. Our aim is the reliable generation of the highest-quality data with rapid turnaround time and competitive pricing. Realising the constant changes of users’ research needs, we continuously improve our provision of cutting-edge DNA/RNA sequencing resources.
