Centenary Alumni Day 2025 Pictures
We had a wonderful day last Saturday 26 April welcoming back to the Department over 100 of our alumni and former faculty for centenary celebrations. The day included a centenary plaque unveiling by Jake Jeremiah Coleman, the five times great grandson of the chair of the Dunn Trustees that allocated the funds for what is now the Hopkins building to be built in 1924, and tours of the Hopkins and Sanger building labs by Trevor Sawyer, Anna Ellermann, Paula Milan-Rois and Ulrika Yuan.
There was an amazing keynote talk by alumnus and Nobel laureate, Sir Gregory Winter, a group photograph and plenty of time for socialising over lunch. The day was rounded off by highly engaging talks from Jeanne Salje and Ross Waller. Thank you to Katherine Wallington, Steve Godby and Roger Biamonti, Francis Neary and all who helped out, and to Ulrika Yuan and John Thompson for the photographs.
