Second Year Courses
NST Part IB Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (BMB)
This course builds on NST Part IA Biology of Cells. It adopts a moderately sophisticated and strongly molecular approach to the concepts, knowledge base and methodologies needed to elucidate core themes and topics of modern biochemistry and molecular biology. The varied practical programme includes laboratory experiments and their discussion, introduction to hands-on computational molecular biology, and journal clubs.
NST Part IB Cell and Developmental Biology (CDB)
Biochemistry currently contributes one component, on Membrane Traffic, to the inter-departmental CDB course that complements BMB.
