Orders are accepted for peptide synthesis from the Biochemistry Department and its affiliates...but we welcome enquiries from other Cambridge University Departments . Customers are encouraged to discuss their requirements directly with Mike Weldon (33638).
All requests must be on the official order form and accompanied by a grant code/purchase order.
Prices
These vary according to size and sequence but £15-20/residue serves as a guide for purified material. Please contact Mike for a more precise quote. Peptides greater than 30 residues in length may require specialised synthesis and this rate may not apply. When comparing prices to other vendors, note that we include mass spec and amino acid analysis (for w/w).
Synthesis
Synthesis scale - up to 100μmole. Orders are completed strickly in order of receipt, leading to a variable turn-around time; use 4-6 weeks as a guide. All peptides are accompanied by a full compositional, mass spectral and chromatographic analysis of purity, at no extra charge.
Dr Packman reserves the right to charge for difficult syntheses which may prove not to yield useable amounts of final product, or refuse to accept the order should such a synthesis be envisaged as having a high risk of failure.
