   The Branco Weiss Fellowship Society in Scinece award of CHF   100'000/year, giving freedom to work on whatever topic they choose anywhere   in the world, for up to five years. This research fellowship is   designed to support postdoctoral researchers after their PhD and before their   first faculty appointment. Those in current postdoctoral positions are also   eligible.   Royal   society And Leverhulme Trust Fellowships are tenable for   between one academic term and one year. The fellow’s employing institution   receives reimbursement for the full salary costs for the fellow. Research   expenses of up to a maximum of £2,500 are available to cover the cost of consumables,   equipment and travel. Senior research fellowship,   enable academic researchers to be relieved of all their teaching and   administrative duties and to concentrate on full-time research in all areas   of the life and physical sciences.   Cancer   Research UK Salaries and associated running   expenses for the Fellow, one pos doctural researcher and one technician, plus   equipment up to £25,000. Annual Salary enhancemen tof £6,500 is paid each   year of the funding period. Career Development Fellowship,   early career and established researcher at least 3 years post doc with no   more than 8 years since compeleting PhD. Offer 6 years of support.   Leverhulme Trust The Trust will contribute 50% of   each Fellow's total salary costs up to a maximum of £24,000 per annum and the   balance is to be paid by the host institution.  Fellowship are tenable for a three years   full time basis. May also request annual research expenses of up to £6,000 to   further his or her research activities.
Fellowships aim to provide career development   opportunities for those who are at a relatively early stage of their academic   careers, but who have a proven record of research. The expectation is that   Fellows should undertake a significant piece of publishable work during their   tenure, and that the Fellowships should lead to a more permanent academic   position.
 
 
 Applicants must have a track record of   research, but should not have held an established academic appointment in the   UK. Can be part time taking into account childcare commitments
 
  Senior investigator awards The   level of funding we provide for an Investigator Award is flexible and can be   anything from under £500,000 to around £3 million. Awards can last for up to   seven years, if appropriate. 
The research you propose for   an Investigator Award should be distinct from, and not replace, activities   already supported in your host organisation or by other awards.  If you’re currently funded by the Royal   Society or RCUK, please contact us before you apply

If you're a mid-career   or senior researcher, you should have achieved   more in terms of originality and impact of your research, your track record   of gaining research grant support and your success in training and mentoring   others. Senior researchers should be internationally recognised as leaders in   their fields.

  MRC  Career Development, Researchers   proposing to continue research they are undertaking in their current position   are not eligible  Enable post doc researchers to   lead their own research plans and establish their own research teams   proposals may range from basic studies with relevance to mechanisms of   disease, to translational and development clinical research  25th April 2017 
   
  MRC  Senior Non Clinincal Fellowship   provides full personal salary costs, together with support for research   staff, consumables expenses, travel costs and capital equipment appropriate   for the research project. To be within remit of the   scheme, and therefore eligible to apply, all applicants must be leading their   own research group as an independent investigator, primarily demonstrated by   senior / communicating authorship on publications which do not include   previous supervisors, and previous success in obtaining research/fellowship   funding as PI 25th April 2017 
    Applicants are particularly   encouraged to consider the opportunities the fellowship offers to establish   collaborative networks and for cross-sector development, as the award will   support a period of research overseas, at a second UK institution, or within   industry where appropriate for the research project.

Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral   Fellowships, £250,000, including salary, fellowship supplement and research   expenses for 4 years.

  BBSRC  David Phillips Fellowship,   awards are for five years and include personal salary and a significant   research support grant to enable fellows to establish their own independent   research group. At a value of up to £1m (80% FEC) Aim to support and set up a   research group on the following themes; agriculture and food security,   industrial biotechnology and bioenergy and biosciences for health

one-off awards which seek to help support and nurture future   leaders of biomedical research by providing £200,000 (or equivalent euros)   which may be used in any appropriate way to support the holder’s research,   other than the provision or augmentation of personal salary, over a period of   up to five years. 
 The awards are aimed at   younger, rather than established, researchers who might be in their early   years of running their own groups and for whom receipt of the Prize   would  ‘make a real difference’. Nov-17
